Colombian artist and Clubsonica label boss Juan Pablo Torrez has compiled an impressive resume since first emerging in 2007. Mango Alley, Plattenbank, The Soundgarden, UV and more have served as landing spots for his progressive creations, while world class DJs Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have been steadfast supporters along the way. Also highly regarded as a DJ, Juan remains one of Colombian’s premiere talents, sharing the stage with Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha, Tim Green, D-Nox and more. Welcome to a new episode of Clubsonica radio with your host and your dj for the first hour of the show, Juan Pablo Torrez. We are having a great show this time with some amazing music that I’ve been digging into lately, as well as some own productions as my remix to Take Me Home which came out on Xtao Xounds in January and right at the end of the first hour you will hear my collab with Deviu called inefable which is coming out this March 21st on UV. In the 2nd hour, we have a great guest mix by the outstanding Hungarian artist Matthew Sona, who released a bomb remix of ‘Siamba’ on March 7th. Hailing from Hungary, Matthew Sona has found a way to create his own personal universe by exploring organic sounds and ultimately finding a place in the trend-driven state of underground dance music at a remarkably young age. With Eelke Kleijn and Hernan Cattaneo also being supporters of Matthew's work, the Hungarian continues to carve out his own path into 2025, making his Clubsonica debut with an excellent interpretation of ‘Siamba'. Bringing a contemporary state of mind, Matthew reassembles the themes from the original for his own uniquely energetic approach. Stepping decisively on the gas, it's a narrative of timely effects, haunting motifs and shapeshifting melodies which coax perfectly atop precise kick drums and charged grooves, for what results in a tastefully epic rendition that's perfect for a peak hour dancefloor. Let the music set your vibes and let me know what you think about the show; leave a comment, like and repost, this is a great way to support your artists.
