Marching To A Different Drum Beat ! | Hebrews 11: 24-28 | Dr. Samuel T. Koshy
Have you watched a parade where soldiers march to a particular drum beat? The drum beat sets the pace and pattern of the marching. The world around us teaches us to live for the present - for the ‘here and now.’ From a short-term perspective the ‘here and now’ is far more important than eternity and what it can offer. However, when we catch a glimpse of God, we chose to march to a different drum beat! By faith, Moses saw the invisible and embraced the impossible. As a result – 1. Moses chose Yahweh’s Purpose over Pharoah’s Palace - Heb 11:24, 25 2. Moses chose Eternal Rewards over Earthly Riches – Heb 11:26 3. Moses chose Heaven’s Revelation over Human Rationalization – Heb 11:27, 28 People of faith live differently and have the courage to choose God’s plan over their own plans. These are people who March to a Different Drum Beat! The life of Moses and the significance of faith as outlined in Hebrews 11:24-28. By faith, Moses chose to reject the fleeting pleasures of Egypt and the life of Pharaoh’s palace, embracing the greater purpose God had for him. He saw the invisible and pursued the eternal reward, marching to a different drum beat. Discover the three significant choices Moses made that impacted his life and can inspire us today: Yahweh’s Purpose over Pharaoh’s Palace Eternal Rewards over Earthly Riches Heaven’s Revelation over Human Rationalization As followers of Christ, we are called to live differently, recognizing that our real citizenship is in heaven. Like Moses, we are invited to trust God’s eternal promises and make decisions that honor Him rather than seeking momentary pleasure. Join us as we dive deep into what it means to live by faith, reject the temporary gains of this world, and embrace a higher calling. Let’s respond to God's word by choosing His purpose, rewards, and revelation over what the world offers.
