The Cinema For All Podcast is a celebration of going to the cinema.
In this episode Abi and Producer Jay travel to Chorley Empire Cinema in Chorley, Lancashire. There, they meet volunteer Estelle Bryers who tells them all about the cinema’s turbulent 110-year history, as well as how important cinemas are to a place like Chorley. Estelle is an extraordinary person whose infectious passion for both community and cinema is inspiring. Jaq and Abi also catch up about which films they’ve been watching recently (Singing’ in the Rain, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Uncut Gems) with a particularly impassioned chat about Little Women.
The Cinema For All podcast is proud to be supported by the BFI, awarding funds from the National Lottery.
