One thing all parents have in common is they have kids, and it is not always easy being mom or dad. Parenting can get messy… literally and figuratively. So where do we go when we have questions? Do we go to google? Yes, Google is a valid parenting tool. Do we go to other parents? Our parents? The Churchome Parenting Podcast was created to pool together the knowledge and advice of moms and dads who have or are currently trying their best to raise kids in this often crazy world. It does not matter if you have a newborn, a toddler, teenagers, twins, or that twenty-year-old college student who lives in the basement. Married or single, we could all use a little help when it comes to this parenting journey. Sit down with Damon and Kristine Strom, the Churchkids Pastors at Churchome, as they talk with amazing parents about the ins and outs, the ups and downs of what it looks like to be a mother or father. You are not alone. We are in this parenting adventure together.

How to Survive the Whirlwind of Emotions
Damon & Kristine approach the subject of healthy emotions with Amy and Todd. Amy talks about relating with her kids and being honest about her own feelings. The parents discuss popular ways of dealing with emotions: ignoring the child (disengaging) or fighting fire with fire (shutting it down.) Todd tells us how they have their kids identify (give them a name) their emotions. We learn that Damon used to cry when he could see there was no more cereal in his bowl.
