Ukraine and Russia: Ukraine and Russia are still at war and it doesn't seem like there is an end in site to the Russian offensive. As tens of thousands of soldiers dying in addition to civilians, this is a bloody war that nobody in the world wants happening right now. Except maybe China, Belarus, and Russia. As Sweden and Finland are expected to make their decision on joining NATO it'll be interesting to see what Vladimir Putin's next move is. As the World waits and watches the war happen in Ukraine, you can only continue to pray and keep the people of Ukraine in your thoughts and prayers. We hope the war is over soon and be safe until it is!
Brooklyn Subway Shooting: Frank R. James has been arrested for the shootings in the Brooklyn subway where he dropped canisters of smoke and started shooting a 9mm pistol randomly through the crowd. Luckily nobody was killed in the shooting with around 10 people getting shot and 20 people getting injured, but stuff like this has to stop happening. It's even more alarming that because of Brooklyn gun laws nobody on the subway was able to protect themselves. Will this incident make New York rethink their gun laws? Hopefully, but probably not.
Derek Carr Get An Extension Of $121.5M w/ The Las Vegas Raiders: Derek Carr is a great quarterback who grabbed his back this offseason by securing an extension for 121.5 million dollars. Some people are saying he is over payed, but when you sit back and look at the NFL's quarter back situation, there is not much upgrading for the Raiders. Because of this, and because Derek Carr is a great QB, we think its the right move for the Raiders. With a few more pieces added to the Raiders they can be a team you will have to look out for. Great job Derek Carr for getting your bag!
XLF Brings Bob Stoops, Hines Ward & Rod Woodson As Head Coaches: The XFL wants to take market share away from the NFL but can they really do it? Their move recent move of bringing Bob Stoops, Hines Ward, and Rod Woodson has head coaches and ambassadors for the league has people thinking it will help but we aren't convinced. The truth is, the top athletes will be playing in the NFL and just like the G league for the NBA... it'll probably get little viewership. Bringing top tier coaches into any league has never brought a huge fan base over and although it was probably a good move, we're not sure its going to make that big of a difference. What do you think?
NBA Play-In Tournament Has Started: The NBA Play-In Tournament is happening and the games have been fun to watch. The Brooklyn Nets secured the 7th seed to meet the #2 seed the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA playoffs. In the #9 and #10 seed game in the East the Atlanta Hawks beat the Charlotte Hornets and will move on to play the Cleveland Cavs as Chris predicted. And in the West for the #7 and #8th seed game the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Los Angeles Clippers to send Paul George packing and will face the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. In the #9 and #10 seed game for the West, the New Orleans Pelicans squared up against the San Antonio Spurs and as Chris predicted again, the Pelicans won with CJ McCollum going off for 32 points. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the NBA playoffs end up playing out as Chris and Ant give some of the NBA playoff predictions in episode 10. Comment your predictions!
