Award winning podcast* 🥈. Talking about life as a British born Chinese (BBC)/British Asian. The struggles that I've had to deal with whilst growing up in my mum and dad's takeaway in the 1980s/1990s. My parents are immigrants from HK/China and moved to the UK when they were teenagers. I was brought up being Chinese at home and English when I was outside of home - it felt confusing at the time as I couldn't find a sense of belonging. But now I am much older, I am proud of my Chinese heritage and I am proud to be British. I just want to share my story with people.* Silver award at British Podcast Awards 2022 in 'Moment of the Year' category.

Featuring my takeaway sister from another Mister! We speak about the story of the campaign we created to share and celebrate ESEA (East and South East Asian) food culture. We're not foodies (well not me anyway)! But we're proud of the food we've been brought up with from our families and we want the world to know that it doesn't need refining and our food is pretty much perfect the way it is!

Anna is Founder and Director of Asian Leadership Collective. She also champions ESEA community in Tech at her work and as a side hustle. Please check out her work on Insta. Plus, how cute is the story she shares of her mum speaking to her grandkids on whatsapp (she's not even a grandma yet).
