on a chilly February morning in 1987, police apprehended two men and six unkempt children at a park, offering an unusual explanation for their presence. The involvement of US customs, Tallahassee Police, DC Police, and the FBI ensued as searches of the group's van, properties, and warehouse uncovered disturbing items. These included manuals on child procurement, police evasion tactics, emails about "bank secrecies," and strategies for moving children across jurisdictions. The children revealed their affiliation with an elusive group known as The Finders, with adults taking cues from "The Game Caller" and children following adult instructions. Five days later, despite widespread media coverage of incriminating evidence, the CIA took over the case, classified it as "Secret," and closed further investigations.
