Barb has over 25 years’ experience in child protection in both the statutory and non-statutory sectors. Barb’s roles have included Child Sexual Assault Counsellor, Senior Practitioner, Regional Manager and Director in Out Of Home Care. Currently Barb is a Director on the Board of Child Protection Practitioner’s Association Queensland. Barb’s present role is the Child Safe Principal Practitioner, leading institutional child safety and Safeguarding for UnitingCare in QLD across all services. Barb’s passion is social justice and the philosophy of childhood as a human right.
