Society often depicts men as being consistently strong, reliable and devoid of emotion. One of the major downsides to this unhealthy level of expectations is mens in ability to communicate their emotions. It is a taboo for men to be seen to be crying by women especially by their partner. But what derives this stereotype and what if anything can be done to change it? Should men be able to cry and express their emotions as freely as women with out it being considered a sign of weakness or would such a change shatter the centuries old held belief of a mans worth in providing strength and security to his family.
