New York Times Editor Glenn Kramon: Lessons from Newsroom to Classroom

In this episode, I speak with Stanford Lecturer, Glenn Kramon. Glenn was an editor at the New York Times for 37 years and now teaches a flagship class at Stanford Business School called Winning Writing — students say it’s one of their most useful and favorite classes at Stanford. Glenn shares his tips on how to become a one in a million writer. He has such an interesting perspective on life and the long horizon of our careers and I’m so excited to share his story with you. In this episode, I experienced some video technical difficulties in the middle of the podcast which I didn’t realize until after the recording. I would recommend listening to this episode rather than watching the full video due to the frame moving in and out of focus. Truthfully, I was going back and forth on whether to even publish this episode because of the poor video quality, but Glenn has such thoughtful insights, I definitely wanted to get this out there for people to learn from. Thanks for your patience and I will try to do better because this video and sound is not up to my quality bar, yet Glenn’s advice is spectacular. I hope you enjoy this episode.
