Meet Ted & Elwyn Wharemate-Tuarea. They are both legends, and for the first time in perhaps a generation, they are getting to share their unique story. Ted grew up at Ratana Pa, but not only that, he was also gifted with spiritual sensitivities like Ratana himself. Not only a lawyer and maritime engineer, Ted & Elwyn have led churches and ministered all around the world. Listen to the stories of Ted as we draw our Atuatanga series to a close. They are profound as they are amazing. For the sake of honouring our history, this is one worth listening too.
A few glossary points:
Mangai - means 'the mouthpiece', a reference to Ratana the prophet
Manuao - The marae at Ratana pa.
