Irish author and philosopher specialising in organisational behaviour and management, Charles Handy has been rated among the Thinkers 50 as one of the most influential living management thinkers. Listeners might be familiar with his idea of the "portfolio career" and the "shamrock organisation" in which professional core workers, freelance workers and part-time/temporary routine workers each form one leaf of the "shamrock".
