In this two-part episode, I sit down with my friend Anshita Koul, a Berlin-based stand-up comedian who went from being an engineer to working multiple jobs to becoming a full-time touring comic. In Part 1, we talk about:
- Moving to Germany and figuring out life as an expat
- The career twists that led her from engineering to comedy
- Juggling multiple jobs before making the leap into full-time stand-up
In Part 2 (out on April 2), we dive into the world of stand-up comedy:
- The different types of comedy shows and what makes a great set
- The dos and don’ts of performing
- The reality of the comedy scene—the good, the great, and the downright ugly
Anshita is a Berlin-based, internationally touring comedian originally from India. She produces Comedy Bazaar, Word On The Street, and Jokes' On Us in Berlin, runs a quarterly joke-writing workshop, and has performed at Funny Women Stage Awards, Copenhagen Pride, and India’s first-ever Queer Comedy tour. 📌 Follow Anshita & Check Out Her Shows:
