He also examined the impact of vaccine mandates in care homes, finding no significant reduction in mortality and a net loss of 14,000 to 18,000 care home workers. Prof Paton argued the focus on vaccinating younger, low-risk groups was misguided and unethical because the risks outweighed any potential benefits for them.
