Fatal Flaws - English Contradictions
There are often many questions concerning the translation of scriptures into the English language. We all know the joke concerning the KJV: "If it was good enough for Paul, it's good enough for me!" Of course, the KJV-AV (King James Version - Authorized Version) was published in A.D. 1611, and Pa'al likely died around A.D. 64, almost 1600 years earlier, and about 1500 years before the English language began to codify in its modern form. But when the KJV was created, it was subject to restrictions - restrictions which would hold it to a "vulgar" use of the English language. This approach, and the clinging to tradition instead of scholarship has created a widely accepted text that has contradictions so enormous as to render its claims fatally flawed. Some of the vulgar errors so casually embraced by James VI of Scotland may even be violative of the commands of scripture itself. Here, we discuss these difficulties and their solutions.
