I’m challenging you to assess your marketing plan with a series of questions to help you identify what’s working and where you can improve. With the busy season in full swing, it’s easy to feel like everyone’s booked except for you. So let’s dig in!
I go through essential marketing questions, such as:
What’s your marketing plan? Are you just following what others do, or do you have a clear strategy?
Where and how often are you marketing? Are you diversifying your efforts with social media, email, SEO, and in-person events?
Do you have a website, and how’s your SEO? Knowing where you rank and what keywords you’re targeting can be a game-changer.
Are you confident in the service you offer and your pricing? Confidence plays a huge role in how you market yourself.
Lastly, are you showing gratitude for your current clients? Often, we focus on what we don’t have and forget to appreciate what we do.
Take this episode as an internal audit: write down these questions, reflect on your answers, and discover where you can fine-tune your marketing strategy.
If you’re ready to dive deeper, I’m opening a photographer cohort this year for those looking to build solid marketing systems and scale their businesses.

In today’s episode, I’m diving into how to navigate the intense demands of busy season without burning out. Many of us are in the thick of it, facing long editing queues, endless to-do lists, and the weight of feeling overwhelmed. But with a few strategies, we can make it through more smoothly. Here’s what I’ll cover:
Outsourcing: I know giving up control can be scary, but outsourcing tasks can be life-changing. From hiring a babysitter to delegating editing, freeing up your time allows you to focus on the things that matter most. I also share a tool, Imagen AI, which has revolutionized my editing workflow, letting me handle full sessions in minutes!

Self-Care: This is non-negotiable. While it’s easy to let self-care slide, taking time for yourself can prevent burnout and make you more productive. Simple things like regular meals, hydration, and even a quick pickleball game or reading session can boost your mood and resilience.
Raising Your Prices: Busy season is the perfect time to reevaluate your rates. If you’re overwhelmed with clients, it may be time to raise your prices. This allows you to work with fewer clients while still meeting your financial goals, reducing stress and preventing burnout.
Prioritizing Family: Shifting your mindset to say "yes" to family can be powerful. When we choose our families over clients, it helps us create healthier boundaries and find a better balance in life. Blocking off family time on your calendar reinforces this commitment.
Blocking Out Time: Using your calendar to block off time for yourself, family, and friends helps you maintain a healthy work-life balance. Scheduling non-negotiable time for self-care and family activities prevents you from feeling on-call 24/7 and helps you reset.
Setting Boundaries: Learning to say no and setting clear boundaries with clients is essential. Not every client request has to be met, and sticking to your core services can save you time and energy. Saying no to work that drains you means saying yes to the work that fulfills you.
If you’re ready to scale your business and regain control of your time, I’m launching a year-long mastermind to help high-level photographers grow their businesses sustainably.
