Welcome to episode 31 of the CAYACast, and our first-recorded episode of 2023, with the cast and company of Baked Shakespeare!  Baked Shakespeare is a professional theatre company founded and produced by Jake Maisel, which has expanded to a team of 10.  The cast and crew of professional actors perform serious Shakespeare in conventional and unconventional venues, with a twist - two actors are chosen by the audience to take up to five bong rips on stage throughout the course of the performance, and then continue performing.  We discuss common misconceptions, how the brand came about, where they are now (about to start a third run of shows in Cape Town in February), where they're going, and how they've built one of the most safe and supportive creative communities we've had the pleasure of meeting.
