S7 E6: 100 Seconds to Midnight: Bees and the Environment
You can reach me on the website at www.causeofdeath100secs.net or you can email me at Jackie@causeofdeath100secs.net. My Link Tree can be found at: https://linktr.ee/CauseofDeathpod Bees pollinate about a third of the fruits, nuts and vegetables that we eat every day. There are about 20,000 bee species in the world and 4,000 of those species are in the US. More than 2,000 of the US species are in decline and half are facing extinction. Today, I’m going to talk about bees and their importance as pollinators, and what would happen if they weren’t around anymore. It’s 90 seconds to midnight and not only could several ecosystems fail, but we could face a critical global food shortage if we don’t save one important pollinator, the bee.
