Mindset in layman's terms simply means, the way you think and how those thoughts steer the decisions you make.
The phrase, "Stop and smell the roses", is a common way to describe mindfulness.
A healthier approach to life is to combine these methods to bring about balance, and structure.
In the premier episode of season 4, I sit down with Sam. A driven and gifted wife/student/athlete, on a mission to bring about more balance in her life. She struggles with being in the moment. My goal, as her coach, was to not only improve some of her impediments she'd accrued through many years of sport activities; but to also promote the addition of more mindfulness in her daily life.
As she concludes her MBA program at William & Mary, she agreed to share some of her thoughts and reactions to mindfulness and mindset.
