The first in our CBA AMA series. We discuss supply chains and food security, which are pressing topics globally, but especially so in emerging markets. This session will cover the connection between blockchains and supply chains, as well as how small, emerging nations can improve their food security.

Varun Baker is the co-founder of the Slashroots Foundation and the CEO of Farm Credibly. Farm Credibly leverages blockchain technology to provide access to loans for unbanked farmers in Jamaica. At Slashroots, Varun tackled issues such as the theft of crops and livestock from farms in Jamaica. Benefitting from close interactions with farmers who have shared their challenges has provided insights that help to shape the work that Farm Credibly is doing today.
