Can you name the responsibilities of an executive director for a non-profit? How about a youth organization in Israel that focuses on giving teens programming?
Until Rabbis Michael Kahn and Yosef Ginzberg co-founded NCSY Israel, this type of program didn’t exist. While motivated teens could work as counselors for organizations like Bnei Akiva and Scouts, there was no program specifically designed for their growth and development.
In this episode, Michael shares his inspiring journey—from being uninvolved in youth groups to discovering a passion for youth engagement through NCSY summer programs. He also talks about the pivotal decision to move to Israel and how these experiences led him to start NCSY Israel.
One piece of advice Michael shared was to surround yourself with positive people—and it was truly an honor to share his story with you.
