E15: People pleasing and hiding behind ''i love them''

Whether it's within familial dynamics; platonic, romantic, or even professional relationships, people-pleasing tendencies are present and they compromise our behavior, to some extent. In this episode, we discuss people pleasing in confrontation, the difference between transactional love and unconditional love, maintaining relationships at the expense of your peace of mind, and the all-too-common excuse of "I love them" that's used to justify allowing others to overstep our boundaries, with a few stories here and there. Maybe, just maybe, it's time to reassess and redefine what it means to love and care for others by shifting the narrative from ''I love them'' to "I love them but I love me first and foremost".
