In this episode of Camp Nowhere MAK & Owen return to Japan to hike a long distance trail called the Michinoku Coastal Trail, that they found in a magazine on their first trip to Japan. The trail traverses a sparsely populated stretch of rugged coastline where the Great Japanese Tsunami devastated back in 2011. They came for the views and to get to know a more rural part of Japan, but in the end, they get a whole lot more. This is part 1 of 2 audio diary episodes documenting their time on trail.

Things Mentioned in this Episode:

~ Michinoku Coastal Trail

~ Starting point Miyako (day 1)

~ Sanriku Fukkō National Park

~ Ending point, onsen hotel (day 2)
