In this section of Romans, he points out that Paul was showing Israel's future restoration to God. The Lord revealed Himself first to the Jews, then to the Gentiles. In this portion of scripture Paul reminds us that we (Gentiles) are grafted into the vine, by His grace. An incredible revival is coming to the Jewish people—and it will be unprecedented! In Romans Chapters 9-11 we see Paul addressing the question of Israel's Past, Present and Future... Throughout history, the enemy of our souls (the devil) has been trying to corrupt and destroy Israel since God Himself promised His people that they were His... And we, as believers, must be equipped with the truth to stand by Her. *** Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach. Firstly, because God had sent him, but because Rome was a central 'point of the world' as 'all roads lead to Rome'. So if he shared the Gospel there, whomever received it would carry God's Word, and the testimonies of Paul and the work they'd seen done out into the four corners of the world. Often referred to as the Gospel according to Paul, and the greatest book ever written, Paul's letter to the Romans will become our focus as Pastor Phil continues to lead us through the Word of God.
