American Robin

In this episode we learn the sounds of the American Robin!

First, we give some background about the bird, and some of our anecdotal experiences with them. Then we discuss the vocabulary for the week: upslurred vs. downslurred pictch patterns and the burry tonal quality.

We cover the American Robin's whistled song (with dawn and day variation), as well as five different calls they make.
