Kaleena Zanders on finding your voice in the music industry
Kaleena Zanders is a DJ, vocalist and songwriter known for her inventive career in the dance/EDM space. She's collaborated with artists like Chris Lake and AC Slater, and lent her vocals to the smash dance hit "Rhythm Is A Dancer" with Dropgun and Breathe Carolina (currently sitting at over 50 million streams on Spotify). She recently signed with Insomniac Records as a solo artist, and her newest EP "Patchwork" is available now. Filmed just days before Kaleena took the stage at EDC Las Vegas 2023, Kaleena shares how she broke into dance music, as well what it's like curating her own DJ set. Kaleena also touches on how she's navigated the EDM genre as a queer Black woman, paving a path for future artists just like herself.    Produced by Marilyn Moser and Petra Jarrar Filmed at Grove House Studios in Los Angeles, CA Theme music by Gloria Tells, courtesy of Epidemic Sound   The Buy My Merch Podcast is the music industry podcast you’ve been looking for.
