A podcast for Busy Black Mums who love to read, and want to up their reading game. We discuss books, recommendations and other random life stuff. Us Mums have a lot on our plate. We know that. How many tines have you started reading a book, or wanted to read a book, but just never got round to doing it because you had one million and one other things to do? Along with other mums, we challenge the assumption that as busy mums (and especially busy black mums), reading (and enjoying ourselves) is something we have to sacrifice in order to cope with the demands life throws at us.

From the Slums to Famous Ballet Dancer: Mao's Last Dancer Book Review

Azeeza is back this month with a review of Mao's Last Dancer by Li Cunxin, an autobiography of the world renowned ballet dancer's rise to fame from an impoverished background, growing up in a Commune in China. A perfect rags to riches story chronicling life under Chairman Mao's communist regime, if you like non-fiction, this is worth giving a spin.

As always, do like, subscribe and share the podcast with other Mamas you'd like to share in the joy of reading. You can also follow live updates on what I'm reading on Instagram @busyblackmumsdoread.

Happy reading!
