A podcast for Busy Black Mums who love to read, and want to up their reading game. We discuss books, recommendations and other random life stuff. Us Mums have a lot on our plate. We know that. How many tines have you started reading a book, or wanted to read a book, but just never got round to doing it because you had one million and one other things to do? Along with other mums, we challenge the assumption that as busy mums (and especially busy black mums), reading (and enjoying ourselves) is something we have to sacrifice in order to cope with the demands life throws at us.

Chimamanda Adichie's new book and The Women's Prize For Fiction 2025 Longlist

Hello book lovers! I feel like all I've talked about the last 2 weeks are Longlists and literary awards. This is a bonus epidose reviewing the recently revealed Women's Prize for Fiction 2025 longlist. Also, it is publication day for Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's new book 'Dreamcount' and yep, you guessed, she gets a nod. The books in this year's list all look and sound amazing. Listen to the episode to hear my suggestions on prioritising which ones to read first.

Please do also share if you've read any of the books. I love to hear from you.
