We are back with two of my faves from the AfroGents! Ryan and Orijinal sit down to talk to me about what it’s like to live in Beijing and how AfroGents was birthed out of the pandemic. Described as a band of diverse style, talent, background, and culture, the Afro-Gent band specializes in the genre of Afro-fusion - a blend of R&B, reggae, and hiphop, along with the traditional Afro-beats. They have been performing all over Beijing and their fanbase has been growing exponentially.
I met Ryan over three years ago through Embassy Daytime at our church. Since then, he’s been like a little brother to me and watching him grow, musically, has been an absolute joy.
