This week we sit with Sreesha, the founder of Shop Lune, a contemporary jewellery brand based in Mumbai and Goa. If I told you that her designs have been worn by Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif to name a few, and she has not spent any money on PR, would you believe it? Having grown up as a South Indian in Goa and lived across Pune, Bangalore, London, Birmingham and now Mumbai, Sreesha admits that she feels most comfortable in discomfort. Perhaps this is what makes her a great entrepreneur, not being afraid of leaning into her 'otherness'. She prides herself in having grown Lune organically, admitting that it hasn't been a perfect journey and one that has taken a very long time, but one that she has come out of stronger, and is proud of. We get into more technical discussions around finances and what it really takes to set up a jewellery brand, but also into the mental side of what Sreesha would have done differently if she were to start her business again today.
