Welcome to season 2 of the newly branded Bringing Up Black Joy!
This episode is a celebration of Black youth around the world. In the past few years, we’ve been seeing Black children and young people mobilising to make a change and create legacies in our world. From Vanessa Nakate, the Ugandan climate activist making waves across the globe, through to the historic moment when poet and activist Amanda Gorman recited her poem at president Joe Biden’s inauguration.
We decided to speak to children and parents to get their views on how we can empower the next generation to make a positive impact in our world. This episode features kids across different continents including Africa, North America and Europe to hear what superpowers they would use to change the world
We also had a conversation with their parents and the focus was on how do we equip these inspirational kids to make the changes that they want to see?
