In this episode of Brigi and Stuff, we discuss what it was like being a child with ADHD. Of course we weren't full aware of the disorder and all its trimmings, but with age comes perspective, and we are able to see now, what would have greatly benefited us as children had the awarensss been as high as it is now. . We discuss at length what we feel are some great tools and techniques to help foster a healthy relationship with your ADHD children. We are by no means professionals or experts in the field. These are simply are views and opinions. Thank you Hayley Jennings for the questions you posed. We discuss our views in this video. We really appreciate you sharing with us the struggle, and we hope we have helped in some way with our answers. In this episode of Brigi and Stuff we talk about a controversial issue thats recently happened in "pop culture" , with a comedian named Matt Rife.
You may have heard of him. A young attractive male comedian, who has a charm with the ladies, and who up until recently seemed to be a nice guy, and very much pro ladies. He then continued up the fame game, and slam dunked himself a Netflix deal.
The stand up he did in this show was suddenly very different, doing a 180 from the charming young man to a crass and badly executed delivery of misogynistic, aggressive comedy.
His defence being "this one was for the boys".
We open up the episode with some clips for example, and continue to talk about the patriarchy and some of its nuances. This video is by no means hating on men. This video is aimed to open up debate and awareness. We hope you watch to the end. Please comment in a respectful manner and let's open this up.

Join us as we delve deep into the world of ADHD through the unique lens of a couple who are living with it every day.
Hosted by Brigi and Heywood, this candid conversation offers an invaluable peek into the intricate dynamics of living with ADHD both as individuals and as a loving partnership.
ADHD is a condition that brings its own set of challenges, but when two people with ADHD come together, it can create a beautifully complex and, at times, chaotic synergy. In this episode, we share our personal experiences, discussing the daily struggles, nuances, and triumphs that come with ADHD. From forgetfulness to hyperfocus, distraction to impulsivity, we don't hold back in our quest to help you understand what it's truly like inside the ADHD mind (from our 2 mins at least!).
We also explore the coping strategies and tools that have helped us navigate life with ADHD, both as individuals and as a couple. Our journey is a testament to the power of communication, compassion, and unwavering support in overcoming the unique challenges that ADHD presents. We'll discuss how our ADHD has shaped our relationship, and how, surprisingly, it has made us stronger and more resilient together.
Whether you have ADHD yourself or are in a relationship with someone who does, this episode is offers an insight and hopefully inspiration.

You may not know it, but depending what stress response you have, will have a huge impact on how you and your partner resolve issues, deal with arguments or leave unresolved tensions.

In this episode Brigi and Heywood discuss how Fight and Freeze have largely impacted their relationship and how they are continually working on understanding each others stress responses, and in turn have a healthier, smoother relationship.
Brigi explains exactly what it feels like to FREEZE/dissociate when under stressful situations, and you'll be surprised to hear what lies beneath the surface, is not easy breezy breezy.
We also both share what it's like to get overwhelmed easily and have hyper sensitivity.
