Triple impact with $100 farmer micro-loans.
  • Unlike most lenders who only give loans to big agricultural factories or traders, Emata gives micro-loans directly to individual farmers, sometimes as small as 50,000 shillings (about $13 USD).

    Bram van den Bosch & Lilian Nassanga Musoke share the dramatic impact of these loans with some farmers doubling or even tripling their income within two years, going from $100–$200/month to much more, simply because they finally had access to capital.

    They further discuss;

    00:00 Creative Marketing Strategies Before the Internet

    01:08 Empowering Farmers with Accessible Finance

    03:31 Challenges and Innovations in Ugandan Business

    04:48 Unique Approaches to Farmer Loans

    07:06 Expanding Markets and Product Offerings

    09:00 Success Stories and Future Prospects.
