Kamakshi is a professor at the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management and the coordinator of the Integrated Regional Tourism Development Program of Madhya Pradesh. She gives us some amazing insight into what exactly goes into converting a site into a UNESCO World Heritage Site ! She has been working in several flagship projects of Ministry of Tourism like Swachhta Action plan, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, IITFC. She has also been honored with awards like Limca Book of Awards(2008, 2010, 2012), Paryatan Gaurav Award by Gwalior Vikas Samiti, Kamla Devi National Award for Handicraft. She has recently authored a book titled 'Cultural and Heritage Resources of India' describing the different aspects and forms of Indian cultural heritage.- Heritologist - Community based Heritage Tourism.
