Long December, written and directed by Thomas Torrey, with the musical talents of Stephen Williams and John Mark McMillan, is a musical drama about a struggling musician chasing his dreams of stardom. The film features a soundtrack of original music captured live on-camera, and is a poignant story about hopes, ambitions, failure and success. This thoughtful edition to the Christmas movie genre, steps away from the rom-com, and into reflection on what it means to experience a life well lived. This movie is worth watching all through the Advent, Christmas, and New Year seasons.
