After nearly 10 years of putting LOVE into action, Minister D and the ever growing Fam, continues to push the envelope on what it means to show love. From being 16 and homeless to 32 and feeding his unhoused brothers & sisters throughout the country, Minister D has used his past to leave a lasting impact on the hearts of those whom he serve.
In late 2019 Minister D, alongside his Wife started Community180 Outreach, a domestic nonprofit who's mission set out to build the village that those in need could depend upon. Amidst the pandemic Community180 began the #LoveWins Movement, using love to stand up against hate and brutality. Through random acts of kindness LoveWins Weekend successfully spelling out the word LOVE. With support from social media, the Love Wins Movement fed the unhoused, took care of gas, and groceries for random individuals, offered utility assistance in 6 cities over 3 days. August 2020 proved to be a challenge amidst a looming pandemic, hurricane Laura caused great devastation to the SETX region, Minister D alongside the leaders of Community180 jumped into action to provide relief services for the family of southeast Texas. A coalition of hurricane Laura survivors pulled together to serve nearly 3000 family with more than $500,000 worth of goods and services. Community180 proved to be a game changer in its efforts to spread love.
Since 2020 Community180 has distributed hundreds of thousands in goods, and items to families impacted by disaster or life changing circumstances.
While our mission has not changed, it has expanded. There’s a real assignment to build and become THE VILLAGE that we each truly desire and need. That expansion for us comes in the form of The VIOW (Village on Wheels), a multipurpose mobile resource center available to serve the total community. This mobile resource center creates an opportunity to serve multi demographics, respond quickly and effectively to disaster relief, meeting the needs of our brothers and sisters heads on. Offering multifunctional and purposed food bank, distribution center, transportation service for the underprivileged, and so much more
The VOW (Village on Wheels) embodies nearly 10 years of servitude in motion. The goal is to purchase the vehicle in full, creating a budget to fully support the communities and families we are committed to as It is our goal to fully furnish The VOW within 6 months, ahead of the holiday season.
We are asking for your full support with this mission and we look forward to pulling this mobile Village into your community and serving beside you.
Thank you in advance for your support and commitment to be the village.
