Welcome to Episode 5 of Break Free: On Procrastination.
In this episode, I refer back to my past and how I've put off the things I love just to "seem" relevant in society. I also speak about how this podcast helped me overcome the shackles of society and external influences. The challenge was that I knew I wanted to record episodes but I've always wanted everything to be perfect before recording. As a result, I put off recording and I procrastinated because I always found an excuse not to do the thing I was set to do.
The only issue with chasing after perfection is that you will never start and unfortunately when you realize it, it might be too late. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, so take time and break down your goals and always ask yourself WHY you are doing it. Your WHY will fuel you where motivation can't. Be gentle with yourself and remember, its not about perfection, but progression.
This episode is raw and unedited, mainly because I wanted to outline that its okay to make mistakes but most importantly, to learn from them. I made several, from 1 take, but was not intentional. I wanted to give my authentic self with a bit of unedited background music. :) I hope you enjoy. Peace and love.
