Celebrating two of New York City’s greatest fabrics: baseball and the performing arts. Born out of a passion for both Broadway musicals and triple-digit fastballs, we attempt to show that fans of sports and theatre don’t have to live in such separate worlds, and maybe even break some stigmas. Hosted by Al Malafronte, the show serves as a platform for fans of both mediums to hear intimate conversations with their favorite performers from the stage, screen, and stadium. Produced by the Broadway Podcast Network.

#109 - Now Batting: Nikki DeLoach
From November 2021. Nikki DeLoach is kicking off the holidays in The Batter’s Box! DeLoach's latest film Five More Minutes premieres on November 20th at 10 p.m. ET, as she helps headline Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ annual Miracles of Christmas lineup. In addition to her home runs as a leading lady on-screen, you can also enjoy her work as a writer in Christmas for Keeps, which premieres on December 18th as part of the same lineup. DeLoach got her start in show business on The Mickey Mouse Club in 1993 when she was just 14 years old and now has career highlights that span anything from her leading role in MTV’s Awkward to serving as a Celebrity Champion and spokesperson for The Alzheimer’s Association. This week, she joins host Al Malafronte for some World Series talk, Broadway chatter, and to discuss the incredible backstories behind her two latest projects. One of the most fascinating parts of our conversation came when we touched on her decision to join the Hallmark family, as it was largely rooted in the struggle that many athletes and entertainers face when it comes to not wanting to be treated as a commodity. DeLoach is as real as they come and this chat certainly showcases that.
