Located near the small town of Idaho Falls, Idaho the National Reactor Testing Station was the newest development in energy at the time. On January 3, 1961 the SL-1 reactor explodes leaving its three crew men dead inside. Rescue workers are posed with the life threatening task to retrieve their bodies. Facing levels of radiation double to triple what their meters were initially reading.
