Dear readers and listeners,
We are thrilled to bring you 19th episode of The Bulletin Podcast!
In this episode, we talk about NATO and it’s relevance as a security organization with Prof. Patrik Mello. We touch upon the ongoing war in Ukraine and delve further into the influence of security cooperation in both peace and conflict.
Patrick A. Mello is Privatdozent at the Technical University of Munich and Research Associate at the Chair of European and Global Governance of the Hochschule für Politik München. Previously, he held Interim Franz Haniel Professor for Public Policy 2017-18 and was a visiting scholar 2018-21 at Willy Brandt School of Public Policy.
In 2012, the Willy Brandt School established a student blog, called “the bulletin”. Initially, the blog has been a purely student-run project opening up student experiences, may it be academic, semi-academic, or purely social, to the public. In 2016, we decided to expand the range of the blog. It now encompasses contributions written by lecturers, professors, alumni, professionals, and guests ranging from content-intensive to experience-based to purely entertaining articles. Nevertheless, the core of the Willy Brandt School, and therefore, the core of ”the bulletin” is our international, interdisciplinary and practice-oriented student body that is eager to share a multifaceted, diverse and differentiated picture of today’s world – from the perspective of “the global village” of Erfurt.
