Stress serves a natural biological purpose—way back when, it was our stress response that helped us survive when we stumbled upon a lion, got into a fight, or were chasing after our dinner. Stress can sometimes help us now, too—remember how fast you worked last time you started an essay an hour before it was due?

However, chronic, never ending stress is becoming more and more common, with significant consequences on mental and physical health. We chat about what we can do about it in today’s episode.
