[Special Episode] Brain Gain Navigators: Firefighters and EMTs
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Austintown firefighters/EMTs and MCCTC instructors gave students a look at the first responder career path during a Brain Gain Navigators virtual event.
Andy Frost, fire chief at Austintown Township Fire Department, offered his perspective on the firefighter and EMS (emergency medical services) career paths. He joined Austintown Battalion Chief Tom O’Hara, firefighter Nick Heitzer and Judy Hartley, Austintown firefighter and EMT/paramedic with Lane Lifetrans in discussing the career with students. The virtual event was hosted by Jeremy Lydic, content manager at The Business Journal.
The Brain Gain Navigators program seeks to connect Navigators (mentors) and their students (mentees) with virtual LIVE + On-Demand employer tour opportunities in the Mahoning Valley.
