S&P Dow Jones (United States Share Market) removes Adani Enterprises from the Dow Jones index due to charges of stock manipulation & accounting fraud. Hope SEBI in India will reevaluate the index membership of Adani stocks.
Additionally, another finding has been made. Foreign institutional investors with more than 95% of their portfolios invested in Adani Group only. Mauritius is home to many FIIs. Most real FII's spread their investment among different companies in different countries. Most of Adani's FIIs are new and have invested almost exclusively in Adani, which is highly unusual. There is also a lack of information about the source of these funds, raising the suspicion that this could be Havala-funded or Adani-laundered money.
