What is spiritual revival? The classic definition is a powerful personal or
corporate experience resulting in a renewed passion for God. When we think of revival. We
picture fervent worship and passionate preaching which inspires congregants to live out their
faith more authentically and share the gospel with others. But too often it’s an Elmer Gantry
kind of image that comes to mind, a tent meeting somewhere in the rural south with relatively
uneducated people jumping about and speaking in tongues ecstatically. But is that revival or a
cultural caricature? Dr. Bob Larson’s guest, Mike Signorelli, has a new book called "Fire Starters.”
which puts a Gen Z face on revival. But is what’s happening now on revivalistic social media true
revival or just another passing passion that will do little to affect the zeitgeist of our current
cultural evils?

Can a pastor do deliverance and have demons himself? Such a thing seems unthinkable. What of Matthew 7:22-23: “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” Dr. Bob Larson gives a present-day example of a famous pastor who claims to cast out demons and himself has the spirit of Jezebel.
