Meghan Persephone Taylor is a visionary artist, radical mother & wild woman devoted to the exploration of the transformational power of creativity and the celebration of the women who dare to express their own creative power to its fullest potential. Meghan is a multidisciplinary creative with a special love for textiles, storytelling and the Tarot. She fell in love with weaving over the course of her BFA degree which she completed at NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her latest project, a conception, is a multimedia memoir retracing her initiatory journey into motherhood through the conscious conception of her first daughter. Compiled of prose, poetry, photography, as well as textile and collage, a conception is the result of the creative process that led her through the Underworld of creative self-healing, towards authentic self-expression and onto the expansive path that she continues to walk today. It was the creation of this work that reinvigorated Meghan’s passion for the limitless potential of creativity and allowed her to experience first- hand the transformational power of the creative process. Today she works with other women walking the creative path, transmuting and sharing the insights she gained along her own journey into specially curated offerings on her website The Matriarch’s Return including 1:1 sessions, creative mentorship and community organizing, Tarot readings and more. Her private community, The Matriarchs Return is where wildly creative women gather each week with the shared intention of exploring, integrating and honouring the process of authentic self-expression. Meghan is currently living in the jungle of Costa Rica with her beloved partner and two daughters. She dreams of one day creating an artist residency for creative wild women and mothers, and of once again having her own loom.
