Mike has a BSc in Strength & Conditioning and vast experience within the sport of Gaelic Hurling. This experience varies from club level to the highest level of inter-county, in his most recent role as lead S&C for Westmeath Senior Hurlers. During his time within the multiple performance set ups, he obtained great experience and knowledge on the use of GPS units, and that is the topic we discuss today. We chat about the following aspects:
-What GPS units do?
-The implementation of the data and how it affects field work/conditioning, monitoring, recovery & negating injury risk.
-The issues that arise and possible flaws with the data provided
-Recommendations for coaches using GPS units.
