Was ist mächtiger, Dichtung oder Doktrin? Franz Fühmann war erst überzeugter Nazi, dann überzeugter Stalinist – doch ausgerechnet die als dekadent verpönte Lyrik Georg Trakls lässt ihn nicht los. In einer Mischung aus Autobiografie und Essay erzählt Fühmann in „Vor Feuerschünden“ davon, wie er dank der Erfahrung von Dichtung ideologisch geschlossenes Denken hinter sich ließ.
