Get the 411 on CT Urograms! Why CT scans are an important diagnostic tool.

Hey everyone. Welcome to Bladder Cancer Patient-to-Patient.

May I just mention that I am NOT a fan of diagnostics? Even with something as simple as blood work, I'm just a big chicken!  Honestly, I think it's the fear of the "unknown" that gets to me.  And when it's a test that has anything to do with "cancer," I'm sure you'll agree that can be upsetting enough.

So when I learned -- before even being officially diagnosed with bladder cancer -- that I had to get a CT scan with contrast... well, let's just say my anxiety really kicked in.  In this episode, I'll share with you my experience in having a CT Urogram; the reason why your doctor orders it, and what to expect when you go to have it done.

If you'd like to read more about Urograms and radiological testing for urologic cancers, check out this page on BCAN.org.  It's a terrific site that's full of valuable information for bladder cancer patients like us. https://bcan.org/facing-bladder-cancer/bladder-cancer-diagnosing-and-monitoring/

Please join my "Sharing is Caring" campaign to share a story from your bladder cancer journey!  You can leave me a voice mail by recording it on this link:  https://anchor.fm/cindy-lawson8/message

Or just send me an email at bladdercancertalk@gmail.com.  Be sure to include some contact information in your voice mail or email so that I can reach out to you.  Sharing your story with other bladder cancer patients is a great way to support each other on this journey that we all travel together.
