As proposed, this is a book reading from my debut novel, PLASTIC BLANKETS AND ANGELS, published in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic. Here, I touch on the various metaphors used to explain darkness and light. I also hint to the transcendent and metaphysical elements that our eyes cannot easily see. This introduction serves as a foundation to the development of the idea that something protects those living in poverty on the streets. This Chapter is split into 2 parts.
