There is a growing movement of U.S citizens moving and working abroad. Luckily due to current technology, it has become easier and easier to do so. I discovered African Americans are hopping on this trend too. Even entire families. Men, women with 2 or 3 kids have sold their homes, packed their bags and ventured out into parts unknown. My question to each of them is, Why? What would prompt you to travel to sometimes third world countries? What challenges do you face? Join us as we discuss "Black Life Abroad".

#4 Traveling the World While Black-What's it's like to be a Minority Nomad with Erick Prince

Could you live the nomadic lifestyle, traveling from country to country, encountering different people, food, languages and cultures?  What would you learn?  What would you miss?  What would be the added challenge if you were African American?

Many people from the U.S. are embarking on this lifestyle. Surprisingly more and more African Americans are living and working abroad. Even some families, husbands and wives and their 2 or 3 kids have sold their homes, packed their bags and ventured out into parts unknown.

In this episode, I had an opportunity to have a conversation with o type of person.

Last summer, I spoke with Erick Prince, Minority Nomad. Erick was is a former veteran, that made the conscious decision to remain in the world. He plans to become the first African American to travel to 100 countries.

We had a great conversation about his experiences and what other African Americans can expect as they embark on world travel. We talked about race, racism and ways to fund and sustain this lifestyle and some of the sacrifices you may have to make going solo.

However, if you are a retiree or receiving income or revenue on a consistent basis, he shared places to live very well.

This was a fun discussion and hopefully I can have Erick back to continue.  If you want to follow Erick's travel, he can been reached on Instagram MinorityNomad
